Cincinnati Science Café – October 22, 2008

Should you drink bottled water instead of tap water? Should you filter your tap water? How safe is tap water in the greater Cincinnati area? How can we get safe, clean drinking water to victims of natural disasters and those in need in third-world countries? You and your friends are invited to the Bier Stube Room of the Hofbrauhaus in Newport, Kentucky, to discuss these and other water questions at an American Chemical Society, Cincinnati Section, Science Café on Wednesday, October 22, 2008, at 6 PM.

Sponsored by the National American Chemical Society, Cincinnati Section American Chemical Society, and the Center for Chemistry Education, the Science Café will feature expert guests Jeff Vogt, Senior Chemist at Greater Cincinnati Water Works, and Keith Zook, Global Sustainability Fellow at Procter & Gamble. Each scientist will give a short presentation sharing their knowledge and perspectives and then allow for discussion and Q & A. Don't miss out on this opportunity to sit back and have a brew (or water) with your relatives, friends, co-workers, or neighbors while learning more about drinking water.
